Hi Bill: I did confirm to day that the processing plant can handle
30 tons per day. I had a brief conversation with Sophie. The optimum
capacity is 30 tons per day., unless silt., or extraneous material is
encountered. Her 5 ton per hour comments., were mixed up and she
apologized for the mistake. The screen will be oblique shaped holes
with a 1mm opening but she wasnt sure., I plan on talking to Randy
about it in more on Monday afternoon. As far as Sohie knows the
bulk sample will start once Aber completes their run on A-21 and the
lab is purged. She stated the results will be very detailed concerning
size of stones., color., and I suggested that they also report sizes
by wt percentages as well. I will try an get a format for reporting
from them when I can discuss it with them in detail.

As far as extracting stones in the small cores., yes caustic fusion
is more exact and precise. I recall as well in the early days that one
company tried to crush to 2" cores and damaged the count.
Diamonds may be extremely hard., but do have
cleavage lines and can be fractured. I suspect the milling and extraction process today is much more advanced than the early
90.,s and fracturing is probably not a problem.
They have sent some cores to Lakefield research as well for diamond
analysis., from the lake area where the small bodies and dykes were
located..
Sincerely
GJT
