Gary, You have got to be the king of lame rationalizations. Can't you ever admit that ASND beat Cisco for a contract because they happen to have a better product at the moment. It's ok Cisco will get over it. I have a contact at GTE(project manager), and from the conversations I've had w/him GTE was using Ascend RAC's before and never stopped buying right on through their "partnership" w/cisco. While Cisco was talking about strategies for GTE's "Cisco Powered Network", GTE was installing Asend ATM switches. Cisco is finding out that selling telco is all about performance/cost. Cisco is fighting tooth and nail at every ISP account in North America but they blew off GTE because they were a pain in the ass.
