Kevin, No I didn't contact either FTEL or Lan Times about this. I saw enough inaccuracies that if FTEL was invited and declined, I think it was the right move. Check out the VOCLF/V-oip threads for some real alternate views<GGGG> on this article.

As for Rourke, I have now heard this brought up for quite a while on this thread, and will say that the following thoughts about what our PR firm is doing for us, is not directed at you, but rather to the thread in general.

What does one expect a PR firm to do for a Hardware Manufacturing company?

Do we expect Trade show representation that is excellent? Yes.
Do we expect magazines advertisements that are effective in delivering our product to a targetted audience? Yes.

What else do we expect Rourke to do to increase sales for Franklin?

What I continuously read here in regards to PR and Rourke is that they do nothing to increase the Share Price, and indeed they have not, IMO, done much to increase the share price. That is the truth, but I ask what people believe the purpose of bringing in a HeavyWeight like Rourke is. Because the answer to that question will show you who understands the scope of FNET,

Yes that's right
FNET

not FTEL.

Rourke is designed to take FNET public and to Market The Sh*t out of it once it is public, IMO. Not to increase Share Price by putting out BS PR releases for FTEL at a stage where they will do Absolutely nothing to increase revenues. Ask anyone who has ever sold Hardware of this nature, and find out how this type of equipment is sold. I promise you it is not, by putting out PR. Trade shows and Trade rags is the only promotion that means Squat when you sell equipment, thats the brochure(Rags) and the Action(shows), end of story.

So how many PR releases and article mentions does anyone see for DLGC or NMSS? These guys are not out there spreading their name from spot to spot, yet they are the Hardware leaders in sales and influence in the IT sector. Why aren't they mentioned in every article, and if they are its usually a throw in mention? Because Hardware manufacturing is not a thrilling type of high publicity business, it doesn't matter if the general public is aware of you, only the industry that will actually spend the money.

As for FNET and the PR involved, we quite frankly do not know what they are doing, but is there a reason for us to know, at this point?
FNET has not deployed, that we know of, and tested the system, so what is there to begin publicizng to the Genral Public at this point, we do not have the capability at this moment to start selling minutes to people, so it would be pre-mature, to start the PR machine rolling. Does that mean they are doing nothing? We don't know, but many people mistake their not knowing of events to mean that nothing is happening.

Its just the Hubris of the Information Age, heaven forbid that anyone should be caught admitting that they do not know something in the face of the most overwhelming collection of information ever gathered, the Internet. It is a cyber faux pas.

I admit that other than upgrading our booth at the Shows to top quality and beginning a new Ad campaign, which I like the theme of, I do not know what else they have or will be doing for FTEL/FNET, but I have done research at Rourke and even spoken with someone I know who works for a competitor of theirs, and Rourke is a Top-Notch firm. I was told by this person who works for the competitor that he wishes he was good enough to work at Rourke. I have every bit of confidence that they are capable of delivering FNET to the investment community and then to the General Public, when it is appropriate.

Ok enough to the thread Kevin, back to the rest, I dont know why we rose, but maybe things are beginning to pick up, or maybe people rolled profit from another stock<GG> into FTEL, it could be several things, and I don't know whch way we will go next week, so things are definitely getting interesting. I doubt you will hear much in the way of details from WCOM or UUNET, with all the Federal and International regulators crawling all over them because of the MCI merger, something tells me that you will hear the press release stated back to you and thats pretty much it. They have always been a tight lipped company, I mean knew about the MCI bid before it came out, and with their current scrutiny they will not have loosened any, IMO.

I had a GREAT week and I am already enjoying the Weekend<GGGGG>,

I'll talk to you soon my friend,

Evan
