I agree its going to take more results from CC before a major is going to step up and buy in. The metallurgical tests to show how much gold and copper is recoverable from the mineralization at CC are at least as important as proving up more reserves. The deposit has to be economical or more resreves aren't enough. The statements from Bema's exploration people that they believe recovery rates are over 90% is very important but any JV parners are going to say "show me". I think the metallergical tests results are due out in December.
If you want a good example of a multi-million oz deposit that nobody wants take a look at Taseko. It's been for sale for 2 years and no takers. Of course, its in BC, which is like being in the fomer Soviet Union compared to Chile. It's got 9.4 million ozs of gold and 3.5 billion lbs of copper and can't find a buyer because the costs to put up a mine along with production costs make it uneconomical. Add the horrendous tax burden in BC and you've got a muli-million oz deposit nobody wants. There's a world of difference between between CC and Taseko, though, in size, location, and possible other deposits on the Aldebaran property. Taseko has nothing else.
