No disrespect, but you are very wrong about two things: #1, that RealNetworks does not make a product that works. They are the best Audio Streaming product provider on the Net. If you know anything about the streaming industry, you would know this. Secondly, their video Apps are among the two best on the net. THE PROBLEM?? Takes us to: #2 SPEED! You are right that speed is a problem. But your preception of the speed problem taking "Years.." to overcome is extremely wrong. AOL is starting to test market DSL in several areas. Cable modem availability and price are both moving in a very posative direction. Bill Gates has, rightly so, stated that 1998 is going to be the year for speed(increasing due to technological advances and implementation). Whether RNWK is over valued some is a legitimate question. But your premise is way off in terms of time, and the products RNWK makes. Speed is the greatest bottleneck at this point...Have you run Real products over T1 / T3 connections?? Not perfect, but the point is that speed standardization are the greatest barriers at this point. RNWK's code is way ahead of MS code (the code it liscensed from RNWK). No disrespect meant, but do your homework.
