The Internet stocks last week continued their awe-inspiring run -- Amazon.com, Lycos, Yahoo! and the rest of the crew all posted big gains. In some ways, it's not hard to understand. The killer application for all those cheap boxes is Internet access. Plunging PC prices make many investors nervous about the prospects for mainline tech stocks. The supply of Internet-related companies in the public market is still relatively slim, especially for institutional investors seeking mid-cap and large-cap names. So the market keeps finding new ways to ratchet up their already astounding valuations.
