Thomas, I'm sure Starcraft is an
excellent game.Blizzard has never
made a "bad" game, although they
haven't made many games either.
I will play Starcraft sometime, it's just
what the title says though. It's Warcraft
in space, with another race added. There's
nothing new in the game.It didn't break
any new ground,so for people who thought
War 2 was the best thing ever, they will
be quite happy.Personally i think the
whole RTS thing is getting old.
As far as Stock prices go, Starcraft isn't
even going to be a blip in Cendants earnings.
They are so huge and diversifed,Starcraft will
be taco money to these guys. If Cendant spun
off Sierra and Blizzard etc, into another company,
like they did with Avis, i might be interested
myself in buying stock.When HFS and CUC merged,
they became one huge conglomerate, and they are
still buying more companys. They probably use
the games companys as a write off, i haven't
played a game by Sierra in almost a year.
I'm not short ATVI,the downside from this level
is minimal.If i was going to short it i wouuld
look for at least a 20%-30% correction.
I see that TMSR is going into the red now, all's
we need is ERTS to pre-warn or miss earnings, and
this industry is in trouble.AKLM posts monday, earnings
are expected to be -06.
