DogDoc - welcome to the board. The technology piece of the driller play should by now a very old news. The current uptrend was started 2-3 years ago in large part because of this recognition of new technology helping reduce the production cost of oil. I guess some reporters who have just recently learned of this sector makes a big deal of the the new technology issue. To me it should be old news. There are oil engineers here on this thread. I know Paul Z and Doug are workers in the field. Others who work in the office only may also know, right Big Dog? Perhaps we should ask them what have you seen lately as of any "newer" new technology coming online that have the big potential to further up the efficiency equation.
