>>> I remember a trader telling me some years ago that can happen, I don't see how though.

You just saw it again on Friday, just wait til Monday, given the UBS comments. Also, look for the whipsaw on WSTL this week, starting with the GTE news and then followed by the good news, also remember we still have to get by the massive losses from earnings, though I suspect WS is used to that on this co. by now.

>>I was a pretty low volume sell off though,

Same with Friday, one - fourth the # of shares and it wiped most of intraday gain out. Damn MMs do not give a hoot about the little investor, just the big boys and they still need more shares for them, come Mon. So I suspect they try again.

>>>I'd appreciate you're insights into the Westell chart.

Trading should get volatile ahead of the impending news and with
GTE situation. UBS is the first evidence that I see from the street regarding GTE going anywhere but to WSTL (despite mgmt telling their their employees that the street knew). Once the significant low is set the stock goes to strong buy and we watch it graduate from the gutter. I cannot be sure if all this plays out for April
options, but could envision a straddle working quite well both ways
(one of the few times that strategy pays off). We shall see...
