To all: some PR for Silicon Graphics was observed in the first 15 minutes of the recent film "Lost in Space." It was basically inserted into the scene as a commercial in the setting of the future. Tell u what, the graphics employed in the movie (via SGI computers) were some of the best computerized animation that I've seen in ages. I've also noticed that SGI has been taking space in USA Today with ads touting their graphical workstations for intense graphical needs. While a little PR will always help, let's hope that Belluzo starts to inject this company with solutions (as well as cost-cutting) and growth that is commonplace in the many upstarts that former SGI execs have been placed (hint hint: Jermulak @ AtHome, etc.).
