Sorry Tara, I did not wish to imply your virus warning wasn't worth noting and I'm sure your company's sources of information are well informed. Even if a virus is old, it is still wise to be aware of them as an old virus can still harm one's PC. I went back on my company's electronic BB to search for the message on the "good times" virus. Please note the date. Yes, it's possible that I could have changed it for this message but it's the original date. Now thinking about this situation, while "reading" or "viewing" a file in itself cannot activate a virus, seeing this "good times" virus supposedly originated from AOL, I would believe it could be attached to the file and then automatically executed as some browsers are capable of doing when the target message is read. Anyway, you have my sincerest apologies. Subject: Virus warning forwarding Author: somebody at somewhere Date: 12-05-94 8:43 AM Subject: virus There is a virus on America Online being sent by E-Mail. If you get anything called "Good Times", DON'T read it or download it. It is a virus that will erase your hard drive. Forward this to all your friends. It may help them a lot.
