In reality, Celeron to PII is more like 16-bit bus 386SX vs 32-bit bus 386DX. Both Celeron and 386SX are crippled intentionally be Intel to ensure that the stupid buyers don't get the performance power for their underpay to Intel.

The only difference is that Intel chose to adopt 386SX in the good old days, and is forced to market 486-class Celeron due to their technology shortfall today.
