Hi Skelly....... I thinks the safest hedge or safeguard against Canadian diamonds having any influence upon DeBeers diamond cartel and their monoply on pricing would be to simply, as they have in the past with other diamond producers, buy up the diamonds at discount pricing(large lots and production guarantees)or to simply leave the diamonds in the ground, if that option exists. The only way DeBeers,IMO, will drop 1/2 a billion +into a Canadian mine is if the Gem quality is way up there like 40% or higher and the likelyhood of some real boombas, you know the kind Richard used to buy for Liz, the kinda stuff that Princess Grace would wear or the really big stuff like Marcos showers upon his several wives...........at any rate I sure hope Gabriela has a strong opinion on this little contraversy.......chuck
