As I indicated a few weeks ago, I took the time to revise the
database of stocks that I have been using. I tried to accommodate
the notes I received from others making suggestions for changes.
I removed the following from the database: GGNS, SUBM and TRKN
I included the following new stocks to the database:
AFLX, ASMLF, ATMI, CYMI, DPMI, MASK, SFLX
The following is a summary of performance through last Friday
comparing 1995 high price (if one were available), 1997 high price,
and the closing prices of last Friday.
There are now 41 stocks in the database. So far, none of the stocks
have regained the highest price achieved in 1997. PLAB has flirted
with its high closing price, but then fell back. Now it is
approaching that level again, however, ETEC may beat PLAB to the
goal. ETEC has really been coming on strong lately. Unfortunately,
FSII is way back in the pack and is one of those stocks that did not
top its 1995 high price in 1997. It has a long way to go to reach
its glory days.
