Michael, the large oil companies have already priced in the good news from oil prices whether they go lower (helps refining margins) or whether they go higher (helps E&P Side of the business raise greater profits). On the other hand the oilfield service companies have "priced in" much of the bad news IMO- and are a safer bet moving forward... Indeed if you look at a chart of ESV since the January 9th bottom, you will see that the recent selloff is on declining volume..... Sincerely, Doug F.
