From recent investext report....

New Coin Counting Mechanism...

Due to be rolled out Q2 1998...

is expected to increase the number of machines each field technician can service by 50%...In a mature market a field tech can service 40
machines at an average cost per machine of just under $2,000.
With todays relatively immature markets costs per machine are approx.
$2,300-$2,500.

they assume 50% gain in number of machines to 60 in a mature market with new mechanism. That would bring down cost of tech per machine by $600 per machine.

Also it is assumed that manufacturing costs per machine will drop by approx. 10% from $12,500...

Not yet clear if existing machines will be retrofitted with new
device...under consideration.
