Lisa, agree with your sentiments about this sector, but not sure you gave your mom the right advice. The insiders are selling GE if the article in April 6 Barron's is to be believed. In the spirit of this sector, maybe instead of her selling outright, and locking in her [and your future] profits, she should sell some calls....;-) Interestingly, in the s ame article buried DEEP in the next to last paragraph, page 24: >>Elsewhere, the beaten-down oil and gas sector not only has seen insiders holding on to their shares but accumulating at current price levels as well.<<
