Cheryl, I have only read a handful of your posts, but it was immediately obvious you are not an engineer. (I did not know you had previously disclosed your background.)

My experience has been with several processors, such as the 8087 (the old workhorse!), 80188, HC11 and several PIC microcontrollers. Although there are some tools available to write in higher level languages, most of the programming was done in assembly language (some of the 80188 code was in C). Those of us that have worked with embedded systems understand the challenges and problems associated with this type of design.

Have you considered that perhaps there is a reason that experienced embedded system engineers are considering shorting TAVA? We immediately know that there will not be a universal tool that will address all of these processors and languages. Comparing PIC assembler to HC11 assembler is like comparing French to Chinese!

Are there any experienced engineers long TAVA?

Since you were so kind as to disclose your background (I have previously disclosed mine too!):
I am a retired executive. Most of my career was in engineering, engineering management and marketing for telecommunications and medical device companies. I was part of the management team for two high tech IPOs and I have served on the Board of Directors of a public company. My education includes a technical undergraduate degree and an MBA from the University of California.

Regards, Bill
