I always viewed investing in high techs as aiming at a moving target.

Nothing in the public information domain has changed with regard to Compaq; however, there is an added element of uncertainties brought on by the acquisition of DEC. While the latter doesn't necessarily implies all negative vibes, WS does need to hear what Pfeiffer has to say about his game plans.

In the stock market, uncertainties are what usually hold up a stock, even more so than negative news.
