Two quick comments, Bob

1. You described the essense of trading the sentiment, but ultimately what matters is what one does with what one knows or thinks.

2. As for whether a stock or market move is real or not, it is academic for trading. For instance there is no doubt WIND is being played with. A trader only cares that he/she trades the flux in the right direction. One may go back and forth on WIND for 3-4 point gains several times while another analyzes whether WIND's ultimate direction will be up or down.
