Hi Jules your Cisco holdings will benefit from IBM's PowerPC

Its mutually beneficial as IBM can supply ASIC chips for under $30 to be used in multi-application routers :

chips.ibm.com

IBM embraces "partners" like Cisco and can supply them with low cost chips (under $30)containing a 32 bit RISC instruction set:

arm.com

For instance in the airline application , which will replace mostly Raytheon CRTs , IBM will be able to add voice/telephone capability with additional PowerPC chips.

We used to compete against Cisco but they had a "better" IBM connection than we did and their incredible success was the result.

Regards,
Jim K.
