Bill and all...a few thoughts:
Just a few quick notes tonight...the rest will be out tomorrow evening...
Well, the Dow finally made it 9000....and believe it or not, many indicators are still pointing higher! Interest rates came down, NYSE member buying was bullish which in itself is bullish, the new lows on the NYSE and the Nasdaq contracted.
However, gold stocks are rallying and continued their breaking out to the upside....volume has expanded quite a bit, espicially on the Nasdaq...and 1st quarter earnings are just around the corner. If they come in as expected, then earnings will only grow at 1%...the ironic part is that if they exceed expectations (say 2 or even 4%), a positibe spin may be put on the "greater than expected gains" and fuel more upside....and what is happening in Japan may spell trouble everywhere else...(OK , parts of SE Asia also).
Bottom line, the market can not absorb any bit of bad news right now. Given that, the question one needs to ask themselves is "Is staying fully invested worth the thrill of the coming blowoff and the agony of being caught in the consequence?"
More on all these topics tomorrow.

You're thinking of a carrot right?
If not, you're among the 2% of the population whose minds are warped enough to think of something else. 98% of people will answer with carrot when given this exercise.
Freaky, huh? |
