VLAD, you say:"1)MUSE failures generally failed on all other treatments"

Not true. The majority are successful with the injectables or the pump. In the absence of Viagra, what other treatments are available beyond Muse?

"2)Most posters had severe ED and seems like nothing is going to work for them"

Probably true about the severe ED, but not true about the other therapies not working.

"3)I only noted one Dr who did not like MUSE (David Casey). Any affiliation with Pfizer? "

I don't think so. However, he says most of his patients will want to try Viagra, but agrees with you that it will definitly not be a magic bullet.

"4)As someone mentioned "I think some of the frequent posters here are going to be disappointed in Viagra and back to square one".

I would agree with you on that one, but would go one step further and apply the same logic to MUSE. There seem to be a lot of disappointed MUSE users. The criteria of success for the MUSE trials was "successful intercourse" defined as penetration. Too many acutual MUSE users in real life have been penetrating with a painful semi-hard stuffer. They graduated from 125mcg to 250mcg to 500mcg to 1000 mcg (refills?) at cost of $150-$200 per six-pack with disappointing results.

Viagra will no doubt help the psychogenic ED cases, and those with mild to moderate physical origin ED. Probably some of the severe ED cases as well.

For who are not helped by Viagra, IMHO ,many will be disappointed with MUSE and the resulting painful "hot dick" as the users describe it, and will move on to the injectables. Senetek is developing an injectable ED product which will come pre-loaded in an autoinjector device where the patient will not even see a needle. I am not suggesting investing in Senetek, but just observing that once the severe ED population realizes that there is a truly pain-free injectable, they will no longer "dick around" with MUSE. Many will find and accept the injectables once they are brought into the urologists office by all the publicity, fail to respond to Viagra, and survive being tortured by MUSE. A little needle won't seem so bad.

"Seems like most complainers were not given proper instructions"

The guy who suggested administering an analgesic into the urethra prior to MUSE insertion would really turn MUSE into a Rube Goldberg boondoggle! Keep it simple. VLAD is already complaining that the MUSE users can't figure out how to administer the standard MUSE already without injuring themselves!
