David, Bubba and all KAVAites

KAVA is, as you gentlemen, have been discussing an interesting extract. Sadly, as with all things, some, must take it to excess.

KAVA is gaining a considerable interest from the law enforcement community as a substance of abuse. Seems that blending the tea is just the first part of the relaxation process. The leavings of the tea are highly concentrated in the relaxing ingredients that cause the tea to be relaxing. Abusers are ingesting the leavings and throwing the tea away. KAVA is becoming a very popular "non-drug" of choice in L.A., Miami and other large cities. Coma is the extreme result of overuse of the KAVA root. CA narcotics enforcement agencies are working now to determine the exact makeup, for presentation to the legislature to add KAVA as a controlled substance.

I am kinda para phrasing this as it is from memory of an article in the Narcotic Task Force Bullitin in Feb. I'll try and find it again to post. This does not mean that there is anything wrong with PURW in the form for which it is intended, just what is actually happening with it on the street.
