Corel Announces Bundling Deal with Compaq
OTTAWA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 6, 1998--Corel Corporation (TSE:COS)(NASDAQ:COSFF) announced today that Compaq has begun bundling Corel's award-winning Corel(R) WordPerfect(R) Suite 8 software on three Compaq Presario PC models sold in Radio Shack stores across the United States.

Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 is a full featured office productivity suite with Corel(R) WordPerfect(R) 8 for fast and efficient word processing, the powerful spreadsheet application -- Corel(R) Quattro(R) Pro 8 and Corel(R) Presentations(TM) 8 for dazzling presentations. Also included are Netscape Communicator 4.04, CorelCENTRAL(TM) for personal information management, Corel Photo House(TM) 1.1, Envoy(TM) 7 Viewer and Quick View Plus.
