Just giving you a hard time. You make valid points. My money will
continue to be on Dell however. Years ago when I dumped Apple (for different reasons) and began buying Dell, I remember the nay-sayers
all insisting that Dell was just a junky mail order box maker and
there was no way Dell would ever come close to Apple in terms of
sales.

My how times have changed. It's all about having an efficient delivery mechanism for relevant technology at the right price and
the right time. Dell is clearly miles ahead of the pack here.

As for consistency, a real eye opener is to create a simple bar
graph of quarterly revenue and earnings for Compaq and Dell for the last 5 years and compare. The Dell chart is a thing of predictable
beauty while Compaq's is a tad jagged.
