Asking is fine. The subcontext of asking about UTEK was the suggestion that Bob had screwed up. Had Bob screwed up that might have been defensible. Since Bob has repeated stated that UTEK was a 1999 story it's impossible to determine whether it was a good call or not. If UTEK is at $25 on Jan 1 2000, you might have case for Bob making a bad call. If you are focused on seeing whether or not Bob will admit to mistake, that would be the appropriate time. Why someone would focus on that issue when there so much important information to be garnered is a curiousity to me. Finally, remember that Bob is providing a public service. He is sharing extremely valuable expert advice free of charge. He could make a lot more money giving only paid advice. Hassling Bob about one bad call (if it ever happens) is, IMO, small minded and ungrateful.
