Michael, speaking of momentum have you noticed Pfeiffer Vacuum (PV)? This is a 100+ year old German Co. that manufactures various types of vacuum pumps and gauges used in many industries including semi fab's. They went public on the NYSE in mid '96 at ~$11. They climbed to roughly 30 in Feb and have since rocketed into the 90's over the last 5 weeks or so. They've recently announced that they will list on the "Neuer Market" in Frankfurt. Their numbers have been pretty good, however I don't see vacuum as either a new or a long term high growth industry. (I know; there is no gravity, the earth sucks and, someone has got to suck all the hot air from this market bubble, etc. may just fuel growth for the vacuum industry near term!) I can't figure why the share price has rose so much and so quickly, what I am missing? Further, is this possibly part of a broader trend associated with established Co's and European markets we should be looking at closely? and what is the Neuer Market?
TIA,
Marty
