Millennium Communications Inc MLU Shares issued 28258834 1998-04-02 close $0.16 Monday Apr 6 1998 Mr Tony Rothschild reports Tony Rothschild has assumed the position of president and CEO of the company. Mr Rothschild is an experienced senior executive best known for his entrepreneurial flair and his capacity for starting new companies from scratch, launching new products and taking responsibility for controlling all areas of running a company. He started Phonettix Intelecom in 1987 and as CEO, grew the company to over 40 employees. Phonettix, a TSE publicly listed company, has become the market leader in Canada for interactive voice technology and is now Canada's largest independent call centre company, selling to major companies, banks, government and telephone companies. Mr Rothschild is also the co-chair of ACT Canada's communication and marketing committee. The Advanced Card Technology Association was formed in 1989 to promote emerging technologies like smart cards. Steven Hecht served as president of Millennium Communications for the period from February 13 1997 to August 30 1997. For the period September 1 1997 to September 30 1997, the office of the president was vacant and duties of the president were conducted by Eugene Foo, the then CEO and Donna Marie Anton, a vice-president. October 1 1997, Mr Rothschild joined Millennium Communications and was made its president. On November 1 1997, Mr Foo resigned as CEO in favour of Mr Rothschild, remaining with Millennium Communications in a consulting capacity only. |
