There is no way that a reputable company is not going to protect its products from competitors. Without patents, they can't raise financing because of the lack of protection. If they share their secret with investors, its no longer a secret and they are in trouble. Would Daimler, Ford etc. invest in unprotected fuel cell technology? Hardly. If Ballard did share unpatented technological information to sell partnership agreements, Sid would probably have been correct in his assessment that we would be able to buy Ballard in the single digit price range. In my opinion, your statement falls into the same category as Sid's. I think it is called "boneheaded". I do appreciate contrarian opinion and I have sold 80% of my Ballard, but I think you did misspeak. Regards, Ed
