Andrew,

I found your comments humorous but somewhat misleading. Green Oasis is the private market's (ie. RNC types.. :0) solution to a terribly inefficient and pollutive process of reprocessing waste oil. It uses the efficencies of the growing energy market to generate large profit margins and fulfill a need for reducing demand on foreign oil.

If we WERE to talk SERIOUS politics, I could bring up the fact that this company was shut down in 1995 due to the abuse of a state environmental agency, DEHC in SC. It denied GRNO a permit without providing explanation or guidance as to how to resolve their "methane" problem (ie..the smell that offended wealthy neighbors). The company was in the process of incorporating the thermal oxidizer heating process into the Charleston unit at that time. However the refusal to grant a "upgrade permit" forced GRNO to do its R&D with the EOS unit in Idaho, 2,000 miles away. And due to the lack of engineering support by Thermatrix, based in Tennesee, the experiment suffered problems that eventually forced it to lay off 29 employees. GRNO has found another more dependable supplier of Thermal Oxidizer technology.

GRNO would have passed into the sunset had it not been for the perseverance and vision of Bill Carraway. The "precious" over-regulating, and abusive govt almost snuffed this dream out... Standards should be met, but there should exist waivers for those companies taking the costly steps of designing EPA complient technologies. GRNO is now EPA and OSHA complient and must continue to meet stringent EPA regulations.

Government role is to enable companies to resolve pollution problems and punish those who scoff at meeting basic environmental requirements.

However, maybe the EPA should take a closer look at the hand your favorite candidate had in permitting Tyson chicken to dump their salmanella laden waste products into numerous Arkansas waterway.... :0)

However, I do believe political discussions should be fun and factual and should not digress into personal biases. Both "L......" and "republicans" can feel good about their participation in this company.

Regards,

Ron
