Actually I am not so sure the combined company will be an agile competitive player but an inefficient monster. I see tulip mania has carryed things quite far. IMO CCI's CEO is aware of the fact that the Asian crisis, banking mess in Japan will be a bigger blow to CCI that the SA crisis: Mexico, Venezuela, Brasil, Argentina. Does anyone remember how CI stock traded back then? It almost went under. So he goes out and gets a guy willing to pay a high price with inflated currency. I don't follow TRV.
