Matt,

After reading the Bloomberg Newswire reports regarding the recent falls of Peritus and Viasoft, another common element comes through loud and clear: problematic distribution for both of these companies.

PTUS indicated that their salesforce was ineffective in marketing its Y2K tool while VIAS blamed poor European distribution for their ills.

OTOH, IAIC cannot be viewed in the same way thanks to the over 3,000 salesforce of its primary alliance partner, Computer Associates.

When it comes to distribution, CA is king of the hill.

Tool time has arrived ... so much unremediated code and so little time for the body shops to effectively handle.

Regards.

Elliot
