Hi, Gull. Thanks for the pointer to the article. Looks to me as if the heirs turn out to deserve the rights after all, since the rights appear to have been embedded in the property they inherited. That may be bad for SUF and Randgold, since it looks as if they will have to pay up for the rights.

Anyone: This appears to mean that the heirs own 100% of the M1 pipe and its surrounding property and that both SUF's rights and Randgold's rights are non-existent. Given that another company bid R40M to the heirs for their rights, does this mean that SUF and Randgold must now take part in a bidding war? And are SUF and Randgold on the same level with zilch right now or do the heirs only own Randgold's 35%?
