Juanita - In Calgary, home of the Canadian oil patch, a mini eavesdropping industry has evolved over the past 7 years. As an example, a guy from Shell is talking on his cell phone to his head office. They're talking about proposed land acquisitions or the results of the latest drill program. Meanwhile, a little white van is nearby, "stealing" the unencrypted or not very well encrypted conversation.
These vans circulate the city, trying to pick up valuable tidbits of information. How valuable is Jaws or any other powerful encryption in this case?

For the rest of us cell phone users, it will be a marketing ploy. The sales guy will say "and when you buy this phone, no one can eavesdrop on your conversation." I believe that eventually, that will become a standard feature.
