Could be. TD was up Friday however. There will be a consolidation of premium companies in many sectors, until the government stops it.

I'm bullish the brokerages and banks stocks in general. I think they will benefit from all the new PC owners who save for retirement, worried they will never see any social security money. People are starting to sale their mutual funds and invest their own money.

I have been long Waterhouse and TD for a long time, but lately I am starting to trade more trying to catch the peaks and valleys. Currently long however. Hope I'm long when and if somebody tries to buy TD. With my luck I won't... sold TRV last week.

I think the users of technology may profit more than the manufacturers. Every time a bank or brokerage company touches your money they get to keep a chuck of it. Seems like a good business model to me.

In in the annual report there is a pie chart that shows that most of their income is from the brokerage part of the business.
