Alien--Regarding talk with Nina today.

I'll try to list everything I can remember in our discussion.

1)Earnings at 8:00am EST Thursday April 9th.
2)As far as FDA approval of new plant, she says everything is on schedule for approval before end of Q2.
3)I was told that the advertising people did not expect to see maximum positive effects from the advertising until May. She said it is not like advertising a soft drink. Satisfied customers who will routinely use MUSE need time to make appointment, run screening tests and then if MUSE use is decided at least try a trial run.
4)Discussed the new product. It has less prostaglandin in it and prazosin. ED patients who are sensitive to prostaglandins will feel a burning regardless if it is transurethral or injected via needle. The new product will decrease or eliminate the hot feeling because of less prostaglandin. The degree of heat or burning is determined by each individuals sensitivity. Some patients have no sensitivity to prostaglandins and feel no heat but some patients are very sensitive to prostaglandins and feel burning. Vivus is now finishing up Phase III testing of the new product.
5)I specifically questioned urethral pain/burning and why a topical anesthetic could not be added. Initially she mentioned not wanting to anesthetize the entire penis. I asked her why they couldn't add just enough topical anesthetic to desensitize the urethral epithelium. She did not know and she is going to have a researcher contact me to discuss this matter in more detail.
6)I asked her if she thinks they would meet earnings (nice try Vlad) and she said she is not allowed to discuss such matters.

I think I covered everything. If I remember anything else I will post. If the researcher calls I will post. BTW I called several of the big drug store chains and asked when they would have Viagra. They all gave me the same answer ie They don't know when they will get it until it arrives. One pharmacy told me it could be 2 days 2 weeks or 2 months.
