You would need to show me what is illogical in my statement about the Jerry Springer show. It is your comment which is totally illogical to me.
I did not say that society's evil must be attributed to the Christians. I am simply saying that being Christian is no guarantee that you are doing good works and living the Golden Rule.Please do not put words in my mouth. To the extent that Christians are evil, however, they damage society, and certainly hating the Jews and homosexuals is damaging, for example.
You call the Catholic priests who molest children "so-called" Christians. It seems like maybe what you do in your belief system is to say that only true Christians like you consider yourself are really Christian. Well, who are you to decide that? Those Catholic priests certainly consider themselves to be Christians.
Instead of excluding from REAL Christianity people you have decided don't make the cut, I think it is more logical to conclude that being a Christian in and of itself has little bearing on whether one lives a moral or ethical or "Christian" life. But as I said before, everything about this is just a belief system, so suit yourself. |
