Hi Dan - You asked about how secure the current digital cell phones are.

I don't know the answer to that except that my intuition says that the "secure" phones of today can probably be defeated with the sophisticated monitoring devices available to those with lots of money. Raising the level of encryption to 4096 bits would probably render these devices useless.

JMO of course

If there are any techies out there monitoring this thread, maybe they could back up or refute what I've said.
