Truflette,

According to Parker, Turley Vineyards (Turley Wine Cellars / 3358 St. Helena Highway / St. Helena CA / 707-963-0940) make an outstanding Zinfandel and an excellent Petite Syrah (Sirah would be the french spelling). Petite Sirah is one of the components of french Cotes du Rhone, and a legend says that it came from Palestine brought by the romans (or the Phaenicians, so this is the wine that was drank by Jesus). Turley Vineyards make no Chardonnay, according to my information.

I found this URL commenting Turley Vineyards (thanks for the tip !).

As for outstanding US Chardonnays, I read such names as Kistler Vineyards, Peter Michael, Kalin Cellars, etc. And I would die for a french Meursault (chardonnay based) du Comte Lafon.

Regards,

MiB
