I just had a thoroughly unpleasant experience with a Q phone... this is the summary...
if figured i might as well get the top of the line CDMA technology and go with the outrageously priced Q phone... so i paid the entire $549 + tax for the darn thing...
its a nice phone from the outside, but for the price, i think its a bit expensive... it's not as compact nor as well designed as the StarTac from MOT (yes, I know that inferior phone doesn't work on CDMA technology)...
so right off the bat, i am slightly dissapointed... then, as it turns out, for whatever reason, the signal in my home town that is required to use the phone.... well, its not strong enough... so about 1/2 the time, my $550+ phone drops calls and people wonder where the heck i am calling from... the voice quality is not all that great either... but i figure, it's just a matter of time... soon they will put up more towers and all will be fine...
well, then comes this... i have now used up 3 entire batter lifetimes worth of power, and this should allow me to talk about 4 1/2 hours, or so QCOM claims... NOT !!!! I have in fact used 3 full batteries and they have worked for a combined 58 on-air minutes!!!!!!!!!
58!!!!! friggin minutes for 3 charges!!!!!!!!! that's a load of crap!
so I am taking the Q phone back to radio shack tomorrow...
