WELCOME, VSAT and TELEDESIC

Welcome aboard! You keep posting info like that and we'll keep overlooking the length of your posts! :) (were you apologizing because it was too short???)

Did Unterberg give a reason for the downgrade? VSAT is the more speculative of my positions. Seems like a good company and not too overpriced, but until they have a big (in my mind) customer for their DAMA product, its not clear whether their growth is going to continue.... though a high quality management team is very important to me and thats why I'm parking some of my money in their stock.

I just wish Teledesic would get their plans nailed down enough to start building and sell some of their shares in the market. To those who think Teledesic is going away because of the Boeing cutback, I would say don't take that too seriously. It means they are delayed. At the same time they are hiring a lot of engineers of all stripes (Teledesic is, I mean) on a contract basis. You can't swing a Nordstroms bag around here without running into a recruiter filling Teledesic positions, at least in the part of the job market I'm in. I take this to mean they are gearing up for serious application of their designs, and so they want a workforce they can let go in a couple years. Most of these positions seem to be in ground based technology and some in communications. I think Boeing will put its workforce back on the project when they have things nailed down enough to start building the space segment.

Did Cyberstar outline a more detailed roadmap at NAB?
