Tom, Dwight has claimed several times that I am evil, and a witch, because I have different beliefs than he does. He has written lists of pagan gods and goddesses on posts he has written me, implying I somehow believe in them, and today he said he doesn't believe I am who I say I am. So while I understand what you are saying, some Christians like Dwight do tend to insinuate that they are more ethical and moral than people with other belief systems.
Also, I am not sure whether you are aware that many non-Christians do not believe in everything about Christ and Christianity, but consider Jesus a prophet, or one of the few very important spiritual leaders who ever lived on earth, and have a lot of respect for Him, as they understand Him. Certainly, this is part of my belief system. So I am not sure I create such an absolute divide as some people do about Christians and non-Christians.
Here is something interesting--an organization of Atheists for Jesus. I am not a member, but I found it on the web, and offer it as an example that there is a myriad of belief systems that blend together at the edges for some people.
