DELL opening down this morning! $64 minimum, maybe lower. Here is an analysis of options specialist Terry Bedford over at Microsoft Investor. He says DELL is moving down to 61 1/2 AT LEAST:

<<The bulk of the selling came in response to news the U.S. Department of Justice was about to step up its investigation of Microsoft (MSFT) . The near-term future of the companies is closely linked.

The biggest fear for Dell investors is that the DOJ investigation will delay the release of the latest version of Windows. The theory is many businesses and individuals are likely to delay purchasing new computers if Windows '98 is delayed. It was that sentiment that had Dell under pressure yesterday.

I am not going to debate the merits of this argument. It does not really matter. The simple truth is that yesterday's weakness for Dell opens the door for a decline to the intermediate-term moving average at 61 1/2. Such a decline would not be good news for my Dell position. For this reason I plan to sell my position in Dell into an early rally.>>
