I am a huge David Brin fan.

The second part of the trilogy has been out for a while Infitity's Shore. This is the follow up to Brightness Reef. It's been out over a year and I've been making a pain of my self at the local bookstore looking for part 3. I believe it's called Heaven's Reach and should be out soon.
