Here's an interesting Q&A I found on PC game sales. It's from:

What's the average number of units you can expect a PC game to sell?

A:
The best-selling titles (Riven, Quake,
Diablo, and very few others) will sell more
than 500,000 units in a year. Second tier
blockbusters such as Jedi Knight, Tomb
Raider, and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter sell
around 250,000 in a year, and the rest fall
below those numbers averaging around
50,000 copies apiece for the good titles and
much lower for the bad.


That in mind, I'd say that console releases probably have better revenues (since blockbuster console hits have sales numbers of over a million, or even a few million in a few cases). Anyway, just my two cents.
