Bob L,
IMO there becomes a opint where larger plants stop making sense. We're seening that now at the Hamilton Plant where they are creating a "second" 400TPD plant in or next to the recently upgraded 300TPD plant. The apparent rational is that they can process both food waste and sludge at once rather than in series with one single plant. Sure, I agree that there may always be more demand, but mechanical redundancy has value too (one side can be brought down for service while still having the other side operating. At this time it appears that new operators like the advantage of building to 400TPD and later increaseing to 600TPD as demand and contracts grow. Finally, it would seem tht at some point a huge plant's efficiency would be undermined by longer and longer trucking to a mega-plant.
