Texaco<TX.N> extends Transocean<RIG.OL> rig deals OSLO, April 7 (Reuters) - Oil-rig company Transocean Offshore Inc <RIG.OL> <RIG.N> said on Tuesday that Texaco <TX.N> had extended its contracts on two second-generation semi-submersible rigs, the Transocean 96 and Transocean 97. The Transocean 96 contract extension, which is expected to begin in June 1998, is for a period of three years, with the second and third year subject to cancellation following a one-year notification period.
