<< I first want to clarify that this latest Ciena contract isn't a short-haul one, right? >>

Correct, it is a long-haul one.

<< You're just making a point that Ciena gets contracts in general while Osicom doesn't, right? >>

I'm making the point that so far long-haul WDM has been the real money maker. If short-haul WDM is so much more difficult to design like some on this thread have claimed, then how come FIBR didn't build a simple long-haul product and start reeling in multi-million dollar contracts?

The simple fact is FIBR's short-haul WDM is NOT as difficult to design as a long-haul WDM and the short-haul market has not emerged in full force yet. FIBR claims to have some big lead in a market that is not even set to take off for a while. Right about the time it does take off carriers will be buying from well respected companies like CIEN, LU, NN, Pirelli, etc.

Bulls on this thread try to claim that FIBR has the most technologically advanced products first but who is signing all the contracts?????

NOT FIBR
