Hiram,
Thanks for your reply. Are you a pharmacist or M.D.? It doesn't really matter, just curious.
Anyway, i'm interested in what you said about homeopathics. In my experience, this is much more common on the East and West Coasts, particularly among the crystal/granola set.
Is there any data available showing a sizeable shift away from "ethical" drugs to homeopathics? If anything, i see the shift as being to plant products, synthetically produced amino acids, and synthetically produced human hormones/transmitters (melatonin) and steroid-like compounds (DHEA).
Also, herbalism and life-extension/smart-drugs are interests of mine for a number of years. Among the life-extension crowd there is a lot of older-woman interest in using progesterone creams and oral tablets containing the same mix of estrogens found in *human* women--as opposed to the *horse* estrogens of Premarin.
Do you or any others here want to comment on "natural" hormone supplementation (i.e. progesterone and human estrogens) as posing an alternative to Evista?
BTW, i had a day order to buy LLY @60 at market open today, and it sure looks like i won't get a fill! Not going to chase it though, because some funds might decide to unload and sell into the rally. Based on the chart, with good support at 60, it seems there is more up-side than downside buying at that price.
Cheers,
David |
